Kada Number 2

Hi Guys,

Kada here! I hope you PS3 guys have been keeping in touch with each other. I’ve been fairly busy and not turned my PS3 on in a while and it’s likely I won’t be for good while longer either.

A lot has changed here (as I expected) The shop is now open and i’m working 10am-7pm most days, My son almost came two months early and on the same day as the shop opening! in the end the the decision was made to have a c-section as my wife has a heart condition.  I spent a week in a hotel by the hospital visiting her and Arthur until they were well enough to be discharged. All is fine now and Arthur was born on the 23rd April (St George’s Day) and weighed 2.1kg or 4lbs.

I do dearly miss catching up with you guys on the PS3… if we could arrange in the future a time that was easy for us all that would be great, but the days of me staying up until 2am to catch you guys coming online and then 4-5am to enjoy a good cruise and natter are I am afraid over! I say this with a heavy heart…

I don’t know if you PS3 guys are aware of the server situation but currently the servers are paid for until early 2014… what happens after that is unknown: enjoy the online aspects of the game while you can.

CCCUK was the best of times. And you were the best of people.

Spring On Earth!

Bulbs are blooming.  Feathered friends are returning.  Snow is melting.  And the stupid holidays are behind us.  But there is one more coming up, we’ve all got to be aware of.  No, not St. Patrick’s day, you bunch of louts!  Yes, it is time for our Second Annual Tour de Force Classic Car Club UK Rally!  Indeed members, we’ve made it a second year.  March 22nd will be the official day.  However, do to time zones and real life; the Vice President and I have decided the holiday should fall on the 23rd @ 3 p.m. EST  We will again attempt to enjoy a cruise, some races, custom paint jobs and a cookout.  (Cookouts are for each member and do not reflect on all tastes, ethnics, religions, or cooking methods, either charcoal or gas grills, marinades or rubs and cannot be held against the CCCUK for any burns, spilled drinks or over cooked foods.)

We would very much like to see some missing faces, even if you can just spare an hour.  I woun’t name anyone.  You know who you are.  Of course all friends and relatives of the CCCUK are welcome.  Please RSVP here.  Notices will be coming on the XMB, hopefully via myself the President, or our honored VP Spiritcruise, or our humble Secretary of State Corbinator.  And from any and all word of mouth you fellow members can spare.  It’s your club.  Take advantage of a great day to say hello to everyone and congrats guys!  Two years and counting.  Hope to see you all there.

Presidential Anouncement

As your president, I too, feel overwhelmed by Atari’s decline.  I cannot believe that a company which made so many iconic games over my lifetime, many of which I still enjoy, might go away, forever.

To that, I say no!  We will not suffer an eternal silence from Centipede, to Test Drive.  By presidential order, all club memebers are ordered to get online and play the game whenever you are able.  We’ve welcomed a new club member.  His name is billyrs123  Please log on and greet him.  Racing and cruising has never been stronger than it is right now.  We had Gav in last night.  And more members are showing up each evening to show some support for this game, our club and the community as we know it.

Now, as asked, with Mr. Former President Kada-Dix showing back up, this next Saturday @ 3pm EST there will be a cruise/race/cookout (all cookouts are for each member and do not reflect or relate to anyones needs, desires or religion)  All able to attend are asked to show up with 302 Cruise-O-matics.  Do not let this date go, people.  You do not know how long we’ll be able to keep together, all of you….my friends!  Till then, please log into TDU2 and at least let Atari and Eden know WE ARE HERE AND WE WANT THIS TO CONTINUE!
