The Eden project: why The Crew creator Ivory Tower quit Test Drive Unlimited 2 to start all over again

It was Eden’s first massively online game, a proposition which threw up countless challenges during the creation of Test Drive Unlimited. But those difficulties melted away once the game had shipped and Eden staffers had time to delve into the living online community it had created.
“I still remember the excitement at launch when we would freeride for hours in the game to see new players discover the game and quite often drive and chat along with them,” former Eden producer Ahmed Boukhelifa tells us today. “I stopped counting the miles after a while.”

Sony Computer Entertainment’s European and US arms will carry out PlayStation Network maintenance this Thursday. The European PSN maintenance will run from 2pm GMT on Thursday November 7 until 1am GMT on Friday November 8. In the US, the maintenance is scheduled to take place on Thursday between 8am and 3pm Pacific Time.
